In 2013, I redesigned the coupon templates to optimize the production process for the printed savings programs. It established a foundation for all in-house coupon layouts, including those utilized by various grocery retailers beyond Publix.
While the design has undergone refinements over the years, its core essence remains faithful to the original concept. This forward-thinking accomplishment is one that I take great pride in.
One of my career highlights was implementing the Print at Home creative/sales tactic GetTheSavings.com, which involved spearheading the creative development of this strategy alongside a third-party developer.
Bringing the project in-house resulted in significant cost savings and allowed the design team to broaden their expertise in web design. I created templates, manuals, and conducted training sessions to enable non-web designers to effectively execute the strategy.
I implemented a visually engaging page turn animation at the end of the loop, making it easier for consumers to locate the advertised “theme” page.
Through A/B testing, we compared the new video format with a simpler slide-show format, and analytics revealed comparable click-through rates, almost 1:1. This analysis enabled us to opt for the cost-effective slide-show format for deployment.
Over the past 12 years, I have utilized my photography skills for Publix Winter Family Savings holiday items. I have consistently faced challenges, particularly battled fluorescent lighting and confined office spaces.
Working remotely has granted me more control over location and lighting, leading to enhanced picture quality.
